Spent £6.20 on bread, cat food for the week, reduced price pizza and quiche which got bunged in the freezer, and corned beef.
Not intending spending anything else today.

i wasn't planning on spending anything but ended up going shopping & spent
£30 at Sportsworld in Southport (brill shop) on tshirts & shorts for holidays - Turkey in 6wks 6days - i've saved all year for this - last year i went on a one week last minute deal and it was terrible and i spent a fortune on eating out as food rubbis. So, decided this yr to have a fab 2wk break in a luxury 5* hotel - staying in Lara with my 2 reasons for living DD.
I figure, I don't smoke, drink, i run an old rover and have a fairly cheap mortgage so as i work so hard, deserve a good holiday.

I've just £450 left owing of £15k debt run up from ex partner, and credit cards debt - that i have nothing to show for - they paid for childcare costs and living expenses for a couple of years- i couldn't quit my job and sign on because i had a mortgage. I've come thru it but it's been v tough - glad i paid it back when kids were young and didn't realise too much. Now older and i can give them pretty much whatever they want but....i shop around everywhere first and am very careful with money but not tight.

good luck to everyone sorting their finances out it's a long hard slog but, eventually you do come out the other side - i'm proof of that.

Update: Oh bum! So much for a no spend weekend. We have discovered moths in our back bedroom carpet  So I have spent £29 odd on some 'stuff' to eradicate them, which came to £42 when VAT & Delivery were added.
