Confused!

This morning, I received a letter from a DCA regarding an old Lloyds credit card debt that I thought was clear?
Apparently they have contacted stepchange already but stepchange didnt say anything to me. This debt has confused me since day one, and hindsight has told me that I should have checked it out before now, but I didnt so now I have to turn detective.
Basically I started out with a lloyds current account and a lloyds credit card. The current account got sorted and when I got Stepchange sorting my DMP out, a chunk suddenly dropped off the cc balance. I assumed it was a chunk of interest or something that lloyds had wiped due to the DMP negotiations. I was probably wrong but as I say, whats done is done and what Im struggling with is where to go from here...
any advice or suggestions most welcome!

Do you mean a chunk dropped off the credit card, leaving a smaller balance which you continued to pay off/cleared?
I'd ask Lloyds for a statement covering that period to see if it can shed any light on where the mystery payment/reduction came from as I've never heard of only part of a debt being reassigned to a DCA.0 -
I think the amount thats been passed on is what Lloyds believe the remaining debt to be. The chunk dropped off at the beginning of my DMP, and although ive manually taken some debts off my Dmp because balances have been skewed over time, I dont remember asking for this one to be taken off. Back to the statements it is then!Debt free on 2nd January 2015Next savings goals:£5k emergency fund£4k holiday of a lifetime fund0

Send them a SAR to try and see what's going on.
Or ask for a statement of account as thought it had been paid off.:beer:0
