Combining Pensions

Between my husband and myself, we have quite a few different pensions started with companies we have worked for over the last 15/20 years. Some of them are still in my maiden name [we married 2 years ago]. I want to be able to hand the lot over to someone and say 'here sort that out for us please, tell us what we'll get when we retire at 65.'
Does anybody know what sort of a financial company / person I should approach that offers this sort of service and that we can trust? If possible we want to be able to bring all the pensions we have ever had to our current one, but I'm not sure if this can be done.

You need an IFA. Whilst there are a minority of tied agents or multi-tied advisers that can do this, IFAs are your best choice.
Combining it possible but it may not always be suitable. Money purchase schemes are often fine to move but final salary schemes (ones based on years of service) are usually best left where they are.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
