After reading through another thread (I didn't want to hijack it - I am bad at that
), I was wondering if you put Student Loans down on your SOA as unsecured debts? I know they aren't touched by the BR, but do you still put them down or not?
(At the moment they're on my SOA, but if this will anger the judge/OR,I can take them off - it makes the SOA look worse as each one is considered a separate loan, so that's 5 lines I can get rid of which looks a little better
)
Thank you in advance.

I would put them down as you may/will be making payments so it will be a legit expense. Others may be able to give definitive advice so stand by

I thought to put them down, as I want to be as honest and 'here, have my entire life history' to the OR as possible, but something in the back of my brain is going 'don't annoy him' lol.
I am not making payments at the moment as I earn to little, but when I start my new job in Sept and have to do a new I&E I will have to make payments (I think from what useless info there seems to be on the Student loans website. Am too scared to phone them until after BR - too scared to phone anyone).Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I put my student loans down, but with a note in the "What was the debt for" box saying "I am aware these are not provable in bankruptcy. They are included here to give a full picture of my financial situation"
I did have to write that quite small though.:D
In my interview, my OR just confirmed that I was aware of this.
Personally, I think it's better that the OR knows they exist, even if it's unlikely that they will become repayable under either the old or new systems during your BR or any IPA.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Many thanks Fermi - didn't think to put a note in saying I know they aren't part of the BR (or worded better, as you put lol).Do not feed the trolls please.0

You should put them down, because when you do your new SOA from your new job your payment will be on here, at least the OR will be aware of the loan and wont be 'surprised' to see it on your new SOA.Went BR 25th May 2007 at 12.33, OR Interview now done. :eek: BSC No 880
