What does "In real terms" really mean?

Over the past decade, house prices have risen significantly, and this was as a result of lower interest rates.

Maybe the fact that the institutions are saying that rates will rise, and once they start going up, who knows where they'll go.

Of course, in today's situation with today's mortgages, "significant" may be just a couple of percent; if they went up to the double figures of the 90s, then that would be catastrophic to huge numbers of people.

Rates shot up early 90s and there were a lot of repos. See no great reason why it could not happen again. Different government, different agenda, worldwide events etc etc.

There were very specific circumstances that caused the rises in the early 1990's.

    They won't be repeated.

Too little, too late. You've already blown the cover for this sockie. Time to consign it to the dustbin like your RenovationWoman and AberdeenAngarse usernames, to be brought out merely for trolling.
