Car finance after discharge

My husband's company is trying to force him into having a car allowance. We were both discharged last june. Do u think its likely he would be able to get car finance from anywhere?

  • while bankruptcy sits on credit files for 6yrs it'll be very difficult to obtain finance most likely ones will be with a sky high APR (car craft etc)

Somebody else could take out a lease agreement on a car, then have your husband as a named driver.. Could that work? Would need a ton of trust though. Or buy a reliable old motor on the cheap and pocket the allowance?

I know my old car wont last much longer and my brother has already agreed to take out a lease agreement for me as long as I can give him 3 months payments in advance plus the deposit. I am saving every penny I can for this (in my lovely Credit Union Account :A) and hoping I can save enough before my dear old banger gives up the ghost.
