How do you clean solid oak toilet seats without resorting to bleach or chemicals?
We've just bought one (brand new today) and I want to keep it in pristine condition....what's the best method of cleaning it?
Thanks!

Please say it's varnished? Keep on top of the varnish cost if it is. If it's not bin it now! But if you do insist on keeping it...
You'll need some good old fashioned elbow grease as most products will strip the wood. Try the lemon and oil method.
I'm not really use how you're going to sterilise it to be honest.

We only got it today! Must admit we only paid £2 for it, but it's brand new and still sealed and wrapped. Yes, it is varnished....
I swore I'd never buy another wooden one, but this was too good a bargain to be true.....Save £12k in 2014 - No. 153 - £1900/£9000
