Popular venues, photographers and bakers can be booked up two years in advance

Some venues maybe, although there are plenty which won't take a booking more than 12 months in advance. But in my experience, cakemakers and snappers being booked 2 years ahead is simply wishful thinking on the part of cakemakers and snappers ...

So many people jump to book early -and then wish they'd waited for a variety of reasons...including finding a nicer venue -use this time to research there are some lovely non standard venues which often work out cheaper and better than the standard hotel wedding packages.

Also your friends who booked early will have a far longer period of bridezilla/Family-zila type stress. Do you REALLY want that ? :D

Nothing to stop you researching and deciding what the must haves as opposed to would be nice's are -and you're far more likely to get exactly what you want ultimately and not be dazzled by something that ultimately isn't right for you if you devote more time to research.
