Facials before wedding

Hi all,

I'm after some advice on facials please. I'm thinking of having some before my wedding to try and look my best but I'm not sure how many days before my big day (a Saturday) I should have one. I've heard you can break out in spots after your facial so obviously I don't want that! What skin regimes are you other brides to be doing? Any tips or advice greatly appreciated

I had my facial on the Tuesday or Wednesday before my wedding on the Saturday.

I would ask the beautians you plan to use as they probably do it quite often.

Also might worth having a trial one first to see how your skin reacts

Probably worth having a word with whoever you intend to go to for the facial and asking their advice as it will depend on your skin type and skin habits etc... Definitely worth starting a beauty regime now to prepare your skin as the longer you are doing your regime the more settled your skin will be.

Saying that I started mine... then got fed up and stopped. I also haven't spoken yet with a make up artist or beautician lol!

I went for a facial last month and the lady told me not to get one less than 10 days before the big day. I think I'll take her advise as I don't want to risk my skin breaking out or something!

I will have a facial 3 months before and then every month until a month before. Though I have to say, I put my head over a bowl of hot water and steamed my skin, for the last 3 weeks my skin has felt amazing. I suffer with blackheads across my nose and I got tissues wrapped round my fingers and rolled them over the freshly steamed {and dried} skin and the blackheads came straight out {sorry TMI} but my skin has been incredible ever since! In fact I'm going to do this again tonight

Definitely have a trial one! If you're having them regularly you can have one closer to your actual wedding day but if you're just having the one I think 10 days before sounds about right.

I would start using an exfoliating facial scrub every day and using a facepack once a week as soon as possible.

I have monthly facials and before my wedding I up'd it to fortnightly.
