That's a bit of an extreme solution with less than 10K debt? There are many here who have more debt with less money and are repaying via an DMP.
OP - 2000GBP wages are a good salary and if you truly have your light bulb moment, you can work on getting these debts down.
First as marliepanda said, do a SOA and post it so members can advise on this. Second step, call one of the free debt charities like Stepchange and discuss the best way forward.
I had debts to the tune of 45K and same wage and I managed via a DMP to get debt free just shy of 4 yearsBut it will take willing on your side to do so and to sacrifice most of your social life but it will be worth it.
