    Fair enough stand your ground on the charges but to me it's just stupid not to check the car over before returning it, even if just to check oil, water and tyres and see if it will start. It's always easier to argue when starting from a position that you appear whiter than white.

    If this is their third visit then £115 seems fairly cheap for final collection.

    In terms of taking further payments I think it's arguable, if the car had been collected at the first visit then end of January would have been right but the fact that it's not been able to be collected, which is arguably your fault, may mean they say they will charge another month.

    Not much you can do immediately if they do charge further but you can raise as a complaint and then go to the ombudsman if they reject a complaint as they probably would.

    I'd wait and see if I were you.
