Good rate or not?
I've applied for an unsecured loan with Northen Rock. I'm 26 yrs old living with parents. I have a disposable income of about £450 a month. I get 6 months sick pay through work. I have one credit card and one loan which are always paid on time.
Anyway, I want £4000 over 3 years. They could only offer me an APR rate of 9.9% which doesn't seem that good. They said it's due to my age and the fact I don't own a house. Do you think I can get a better rate elsewhere? I don't want to apply too many times as it may affect my credit rating.
