Just brought 7 x Microsoft office 365 for £0.00 at the self checkout at tesco, it said on a price check scanner machine in the clothing section it was £0.01p
so I went back and purchased 7, put them in my car then went back in to tesco see if I could find any more there was another 20 so i thought i try my luck again went back to the self check out
The machine flashed and kept asking for me to
" replace the item into the bagging area "
the problem was the product weighs less than a birthday card.
and the sales assistant came over and Spotted they were only charging me £0.00 p then took the lot off Me saying it was a faulty code and they couldn't sell it.
I'm well happy have given them all to friends and family happy days oh yeh Discount value of £559.93 :rotfl:

Don't these work like gift cards? They have to be activated at the checkout... If you pick up a load of gift cards they would scan at £0.00 too. Not convinced this is a pricing glitch.0

Hate to burst your bubble but they are worthless. You have to activate them at the till and that is when you pay for the credit. This mistake has been made by quite a few people recently. Also, what you would have found at the self service is it saying you need to swipe your bank card after scanning each card, this is because the cards arent activated until you have done so.0

I am pretty ssure we have had this before. To stop people just stealing the cards, they have to ba activated, which then increases the cost. The 1p is just a nominal charge. Dont think they will work.0
