Quidco Question - Easy Money?

Guys, have any of you applied for the credit cards on Quidco's website just to get the cash back, and then cancelled?
I just had a look on the website and Egg are offering £35 for a successful application. What I could do is apply for a few of the cards, get the cash back and then cancel them - what do you think? I know I would definately not use them, I would cut them up as soon as they are received.

Watch you don't do too many at once, or your credit rating may be affected!...I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

I did it last year. I think MBNA had over a dozen cards on offer under different brandings, mostly football clubs. I applied for so many of their cards (at £4.50 cashback per application) that they phoned me up and asked me to stop applying.

It depends on the state of your credit rating and whether you think you will need to actually apply for real in the near future as each application will reduce your credit rating. Personally I wasn't and still am not looking to borrow so the effect on my credit rating was of no concern.
Some of the offers are for "successful application" meaning the cash back is only paid if you get the card, others are for a "completed application" so you get the cashback whether you get the card or not. If you're serious about doing this I'd go for the successful application ones first as you will probably find you'll get rejected after the first few applications.

Forgot to mention......if you do get the Egg card don't cancel it straight away. They frequently offer £10 if you register for their "Egg Money Manager" service (which basically allows you to access all your online banking accounts from their site) and add a non Egg account to it.....there's another tenner for you.
I've found Greasy Palm to be a lot faster than Quidco for payouts and there's a £10 cashback on Vanquis card on there. I had their £10, put a couple of small charges through the card (although that wasn't a condition of the offer) then cancelled the card. If you're not already a GP member I'll PM you my referal link.
I've been busy lately doing the introductory bingo/casino offers some of which pay for instance £12.50 if you deposit and play through £10 so they're a win win option.
