I am now almost 3 years down the line since I was first declared bankrupt. I would like to start trying to re-build my credit rating but not entirely sure how to do this? I have checked out credit cards like Vanquis using the Moneysavingexpert Pre Eligibility Checker and they are coming back saying that I wouldnt be accepted? Are there other ways to re-build my credit

Hello there,
Do you have a contract mobile phone? Some mobile phone firms report to the credit reference agencies. Ensuring that you pay bills like this on time should help demonstrate your credit worthiness. I understand that more and more utility firms will be reporting soon too.
We've a useful credit referencing fact sheet which you can find here: http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=05_credit_reference_agencies
Best wishes,
