Tula handbag - is it worth it?

I am in need of a new handbag and I have £30 of Amazon vouchers from work. I've seen this Tula bag on there that is just 'me', fits my needs and everything but its £71. I am wonder if its worth putting £40 towards this. My handbags are usually the patchwork leather ones from the market that cost about £10.00 or even less. I have a small one that has lasted me a few years in the way that it hasn't broke and the lining hasn't gone, but the outside of the bag looks shabby. I have another one that a friend bought me for Xmas last year and lining has gone already.

Any advice anyone as I am trying not to waste money

I have two Tula leather bags and am very happy with the quality. I am not someone that chucks keys and sharp objects in the bottom of the bag though! There is a store near me and I think they always look nice bags.
  • I believe (although could be wrong) Tula and Radley are made bythe same company? If so, I have had radley bags and love/d them and also tula purses which have lasted an age.

    Go for it!!

The shop near me sells just Tula and Radley so that does sound possible.

My "good" Tula bag - ie: I don't use it every day is over 20 years old and looks great and has never been repaired. The leather is fantastic.
I use it maybe a couple of times a week and sometimes take it on holiday where it gets a lot of use.
The problem is deciding if you re the kind of person who wants a handbag to last that long! My Bridge, which gets almost daily use, is a similar age.

    You're not playing properly ladies.

In order to assess the situation we need to see this bag.

  • I believe tula make radley (or vise versa). I have a charity shop find tula bag (£2, sorry OP :o) I like it, its good quality and lasted well, I don't tend to look after my bags very well so it has taken some abuse and still looks good.
  • I've got two bags one Bradley which cost £170 and a tula which cost £100 I' ve had both about 4 years and use almost alternately & they are both still in great condition , the rqdley is just showing a bit of wear on the handles as I use it prob a Feeney bit more. They have had a lot of hard wear , with kids and work . good quality and leather just gets softer. I try to clean them with leather cream every once in a while ( 6 months or so )

I'd say go for it; I have used tula and hidesign since back in the day when radley wasn't yet into being and the quality has never let me down. I'd say tula is an unfussy version of radley and the leather on both is gorgeous. The construction of tula bags is very sturdy too, you won't be disappointed.
