Joint loan

  • Thanks everyone. To reiterate, I was trying to work out whether she would still get the good rates with me being jointly responsible having a joint account. It's just so I'm not asking her to take all the risk herself and split the responsibility. At the minute she is getting a much better offer on Apr than I am hence the reason for the question. I hope that makes sense.
  • In that case I would ask the bank. Personally I think she would get a better rate by herself.

    buy a cheaper car

    Nah.

You buy an £8K car for £10K that's worth £6K the day you drive it off the forecourt.

Then 6 months later you decide you didn't really want it in the first place.
