Removing Labels from clothes

My daughter wants to sell some of her childrens' clothes on ebay but there are iron on name labels in them. Does anyone know of a way to remove these please?

Depending on what type, some are very good at sticking forever - Wet them and iron them again with a hot iron, they usually peel off. Might be worth putting something over the iron as sometimes the gooey glue comes off onto the iron and burns on. I find a little persuading with the blunt side of a knife helps lift them.

I used to work in a factory many years ago that did workwear with labels and we were always removing them. They sometimes used an alcohol type spray stuff for stubborn ones.

Another option would be to iron on a blank one if they won't come off, the type you write on yourself.
