People Per Hour...Hints & Tips required!

Hi Guys, I've been signed up to People Per Hour for quite some time now and had no success with any jobs. I'm more than capable of completing many of the jobs listed, however my approaches & proposals don't quite seem to be cutting it! I'm not sure whether my wording is wrong or if i'm going about them completely the wrong way.
Does anyone have any hints on writing amazing eye catching proposals which will help me bag some People Per Hour jobs?
Thanks in advance!

I signed up to that once but noticed that most jobs seemed be paying incredibly low rates and were snapped up by folk in countries like India. It could just be that you want a decent rate of pay?"'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

The best time to catch jobs is during 12-6am GMT when updates are slower (usually 1-4 times an hour). You have to refresh quite often, once some jobs appear, apply to them! Be sure to use personalized greetings and not copy + paste your proposals.
Overall I would say PPH is 'acceptable' compared to some of the other freelancer mills out there, but it's still not that great and you can easily end up with some lousy job or elitist clients who expects everyone to be perfect for the pittance they pay you.0 -
Thanks guys, it's good to hear feedback! And I'm please that you've said it's not the best (makes me feel better, don't think it's it me with c rap proposals now!) will give your suggestions a go but probably stick to other ways of earning a bit extra!0

I've just completed my first job on there - not a great rate - and now the seller is refusing to pay. Can't say I'm overly thrilled with this siteThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have been on the site for two years and have completed around 9 jobs. To be fair though I haven't been online for approx 12 months up until this past month. I am the same as you op, I am more than capable of completing a lot of the work on there but my proposals just aren't being accepted. In the past 30 days I have sent 22 proposals and only had 1 accepted. This was for a job that paid £36. Obviously PPH take fees off that. If I'm honest the site does get frustrating when people from other countries are bidding extremely low for jobs. Plus since I have been back on the site i have noticed that the clients seem to be advertising jobs at a lot lower rate of pay than they used to. I recently saw a job that wanted approx 4000 pieces of information found on the web and entered into a database and the client was willing to pay £25!0

It sounds like your completing to take on 3rd world wages and have to pay a company for that privilage. Better off spending that money advertising locally.0
