I wanna PS3 but should I wait

Hi,
Looking for a ps3 but £399 I think is too much at the moment, Do you think they will be coming down around Christmas or just after. Seen loads on ebay but a bit wary about buying from there.

yes i would wait untill a good year to buy one.
i decided to buy a xbox 360 instead as the games are very good and the content on them are very good.
price alot lower aswell.
not sure the selling price on ebay though

rumour has it that the PS3 will be dropping its prices before chrimbo, jut to sell up to share. Also 360 supposed to be coming down in price as a new 360 (360HD I think) is on its way.

You will probably see a price drop in the PS3 towards the end of the year with Microsoft releasing the xbox 360 Elite

They just dropped it by $100 in the US, so hang on until the price comes down. My husband says he's sure it will because the Wii is outselling the PS3 6 to 1. I'm getting both when funds allow.

I agree with everyone on this thread - don't bother at the moment.

I work for a game shop, there's still plenty of these bad boys going around becus no-one wants to buy them for such a rediculous price (for comparison, you can buy both a Wii and a 360 for the same price!). Apparently the PS3 will be dropping in price shortly - but I'm not sure when.

I'd also wait because the games aren't the best at the moment. There are very few that are exclusive to the PS3 ('Resistance' is one), so it's really not worth buying one straighaway just for the games, when you can get them cheaper for the 360 and Wii.

Having said that, although I'm not personally a fan, the PS3 does have some awesome capabilities, so, in the future, it should really kiss some !!!. Just wait for a bit - you'll save money, and the games will be better!

Hope that helps - it's just my opinion though, so if you really want one, go and get it tiger! Just leave ebay alone - you're not saving any money by buying one on there!

I've heard conflicting reports about this one - some people have told me you can import it over here with no problems, and others are saying that there are major compatibility problems. I don't see why there should be a problem, but maybe check Sony's website...?

Hi just caught your thread and thought you might want to know that that Wilkinsons ( Wilkos) have launched their big new website (WWW.Wilkinsonplus.co.uk) where they have the Ps3 (60gb model) for £399.99 or £409 with the Resistance game included
best thing is they have free delivery ( takes 2 days ) as well and you can get timed delivery within a 2 hour slot for a few pennies more so you don't have to sit around waiting all day for a delivery
just bought one and it arrived 2 days after ordering !!:rotfl: :T :j
