The Shame of Britain. Young shredded in inter-generational economic meat grinder

From C4 news last night. I could only watch appalled. Those who have benefited from this should hang their heads in shame and their cheeks should also burn with shame.
It is absolutely sickening. Many countries treat convicts with more compassion than the young of Britain are now treated. How can an entire generation just be viewed as walking ATMs just waiting to have £s sucked out of them? How can it continue?

Some youngsters contemplate their bleak futures
- Young people living 2 to a room in mega $'s flatshares with no chance of saving.
- Youngsters living in moldy unheated dives because they are too scared to upset their landlords
- A majority of young people now think they will never be able to buy anywhere
- A majority of our young people are delaying having children, some thinking they will now never be able to afford to have children
- Landlords making out like bandits
- The majority of new jobs are created in London
- The biggest scarcity of homes is in London

I posted on a different board the other day a 1 bedroom flat in London for £120k. Not only is it cheap, it has Thames views. For sure, it is pig ugly (looks a bit like a prison), but it goes to show that it is possible if people want to get a foot on the ladder.
If landlords are making out like bandits, they should be reported. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Mark my words. Once they (the yoof) get in power, NHS services will be rationed to prevent boomers getting the most expensive treatments.
We will have our pound of flesh.0 -
I remember living two to a room: I married her in the end0

If landlords are making out like bandits, they should be reported.
And I reiterate:

Yoof have had holidays, xbox, beer money and reality tv - don't feel sorry for them.
US boomers had high IR, lights going out in afternoon, second hand furniture - we won't be belittled by yoof0 -

They could always commute into London if they can't afford to live there, as I did when I was their age.
And I reiterate. If landlords are rogue landlords, then they should be reported. The rules against them are far stricter than they used to be: protected deposits, better building regs, HMO legislation and so forth. Use the tools in your armoury. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Your lights went off in the afternoon because you spent half the week on strike demanding wage rises that eventually crippled Britain's economy and ended up with an IMF bailout. A bailout that led to Thatcherism.0 -

no that was the boomers' parents: lights went out in the 70s when most boomers were children0 -

To be fair though, if it was as easy as you suggest, there wouldn't be the number of problems we see today.
And you only have to visit the buying and renting board to get an overview of the sheer amount of problems out there.0
