I dread mother's day comps as my own mum died at a relatively young age (younger than I am now) mu mother-in-law though is amazing so I do enter comps to win nice stuff for her

Neither my mother nor my MIL is still alive. When entering Mothering Sunday competitions that require a comment, I usually put something on the lines of "As my mother is sadly no longer with us, I am entering in the hope that if I win, you will not disqualify me for this reason and will allow me to take my daughter with me."

Yes, pancake day is next so loads of pancake hampers to be won....then Mother's day....then Easter! But there is also Nation Pie Week too....and I saw something on facebook earlier about it being National Chips Week next week!!!! OMG There is always something and they are usually food related! Us compers will get fat
