Italy wedding certificate no impediment Newspaper advert cost

Hello,
We are getting married in Italy in a few months and as part of the certificate of no impediment we have been asked to place a notice in the local paper for a week they have quoted £98.70 this sounds a bit extreme to me, can anyone tell me if this is a normal price for this?
Thank you
ki

When you apply for your certificate of no impediment with your local registrar, the details will be put on public display for 15 days. On the 16th day, your cert of no Imp will be issued.

Double check about needing an additional newspaper ad before parting with any additional expense. I have never heard of this before.

I am sure someone will come along who has also married in Italy to advise you on up to date requirements.

    asked by who ?
  • It's part of the application pack from gov.uk for a British person marrying an irish national in italy. I have had another paper quote £23 which I'm far happier with thanku
