Aldi doing washing soda on Sunday 16th February

Options
Just got the special buys email and there it is..I have seen loads of posts on OS saying they can't find washing soda in the big 4.
They are also doing the dishwasher cleaner which is just as good as the much more expensive Finish product.

    Is it 99p?

My local Homebargains are doing it for 69p for 1kg bag.

Soda crystals tend to be on the hidden low down shelves in the big stores.

I have trouble buying borax substitute from a shop, I need to order it over the internet.
  • Why do you need a substitute for borax? Is the original injured?

I purchase borax on the internet, it's fairly cheap and have it delivered with other things that I need.

Sainsbury and HomeBargains sell soda crystals. I got some from HB the last time I was there.

I have just googled washing soda and got soda crystals, is that the same thing? I do not use them myself, I have done in the past though and I am certain you can buy it from most supermarkets. I would expect aldi to do it cheaper though.

Haha, I hurt it's feelings and now it's left me :rotfl:

I was under the impression borax was banned in the UK due to EU regs stating it is unsafe. Hence the stuff above ^

I've been using it in homemade laundry powder or gloop with the soda crystals, grated household veg oil soap and essential oils.

You're right, you can only get Borax substitute in shops now, but it is possible to buy the real thing over the Internet. I got mine from ebay.
