Bunch of 12 Roses @ Aldi

Can anyone confirm whether they found a Dozen Red Roses for Valentine's Day at Aldi for £3 as advertised on MSE?

My local store was selling them at £5. It was same price last year too, don't remember finding them for £3.

Is it £3 at selected stores only?

Are you not getting confused with Lidl ?

Aldi offer is £5 for a dozen ( starting earlier in the week )
Lidl is £3 per dozen ( starting yesterday )

  • dlusman,

Thank you for correcting me! I always get confused between these two stores ;). Sorry I have wasted space by opening this thread :(

There's lidl near to where I work, I will give that a try this evening after work.

Tesco's bunch are £2 more but a 100 times better than Lidl's offering in my local store. Lidl's roses were small with short stems.

Whats £2 if shes been good this year? :)

    True :)

But I am a kinda person who's happy to put £5 towards a flowering plant rather than a bunch of flowers that die in two/three days time - where the price of the flowers has already been hiked in lieu of Valentine's day ;)

I went to Tesco last night and a bunch of red roses were £5 whilst a similar size bunch of pink were £3!

Add a drop of bleach to the water and vive la difference. I also make my own concoction of plant food - sugar and a pinch of salt in the water, same as diarrhoeal relief sachets ;)
