Assessment Team

Any idea why my mortgage company assessment team might write to me wanting a chat? I'm 13 years into my mortgage; 17 years to run. A small number of £000s ahead of plan (it's a One Account).
Routine, or not?

Is it interest only? If so, do you have a repayment vehicle?0
-
Nope, capital and interest.0

My guess is that they are looking to tie you in (i.e assessment team = retention team) as their client loss rate is huge at the moment (we have switched a number of their clients recently)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Isn't your One Account a flexible facility?0

It's a capped facility, but it's a flexible repayment plan.0

Just had the review call with the assessment team.
RIDICULOUS!
I currently have a consent to let on the property, it is rented on an AST in accordance with that consent.
Their affordability criteria does not take into account the rental income I am currently receiving, therefore they claim that my mortgage is unaffordable and they are capping my facility!
This is despite me being ahead of my repayment plan for the 14 years I've had the account.
They also claimed that, despite have a consent to let, that I am in breach of my T&Cs by not living in the property currently.
When I asked for the call to be escalated she refused, and instead just advised that she would ask the complaints team to call me in a few days.

You didn't actually mention the 'consent to let' issue in your initial post !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
