Does anyone use Chinese Supermarkets?
I went into one in Leeds today and found cheap tofu and dried bean curd. Just wondering what else is worth buying from there as I cannot tell what half the things are as the packaging is in chinese!! Also Is there anything I could bulk buy there?

Do not forget 5ltr white vinegar £1+ and big bags of bicarbonate of soda at just over £1 a kilo both around 10% of normal shop prices !0

Panko, wanton wrappers, black beans, kitchen utensils (maybe that's just my obsession with kitchen gadgets though).
If you're fond of fish, the larger Chinese upper markets are a dream come true.....they come equipped with huge ponds

I love Chinese supermarkets, I always stock up on dim sum - dumplings, sui mai, char sui bao etc. It saves me a fortune from the take away, and only take ten minutes to cook in a bamboo steamer (also from the chinese sm!). I also buy fresh veg, jars of sauces, rice noodles, rice paper spring roll wrappers, soy sauce, tinned veg (bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, straw mushrooms etc) as they're much cheaper there, as well as dried mushrooms.0
