Finally discharged / savings

Hi Guys,
I am now finally discharged and am wondering if I should leave some time before I open a seperate basic bank account to put some savings in?

If you open a credit union account you don't need to wait! Google credit unions or visit the MSE page here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/credit-unions

Once you are discharged you can save as much as you like. You still need to declare any changes in your income if you are still paying an IPA though.0

I don't have an IPA. I have managed to negotiate a slight decrease in rent and I am sure that I can save some on shopping etc.0 -
No reason you can't start saving right away. Who do you bank with? If you have a basic account with Barclays (most people are either with Barclays or Coop) you can open an e-savings account online instanty. Also if your with Barclays now that your discharged you can get internet banking reactivated.0
