Hello!
I have been rubbish at keeping this up to date...have gotten really busy in my new job and am struggling with motivation in the evenings to do any jobs/chores that need done. But now that my monthly friend is over I am going to get onto the things I need to do!!
I have been doing a bit of ebaying and amzon selling and music magpieing but making very little out of it! I did sell a hand cream, but as I haven't ebayed in a while, I made a mistake working out postage and have only made 40p on it!! Hardly worth the hassle!! But at least it is getting rid of some clutter!! Hoping some of the books will sell as I should get more money for them.
Savings are going up well, however we have an expensive few months ahead with a few weddings and our wee holiday....so I'm expecting the savings to slow down slightly...but I think we'll still manage the £10,000 target I've set for the end of the year.
By the way, i've decided to start putting all the money in my current account down as savings as it motivates me not spend! The way I would do things anyway is that basically I get paid...I put half my pay into joint account for all bills, food, petrol, joint activities. I be left with approx £900. With that comes out £22.50 for my gym and £30 ish quid for my phone. Any other money I spend in the month on clothes/make-up/gifts I spend on my credit card and pay it off in full each month. (This is because I get a £5 reward each month if I spend over £300 on it, however recently I have not been spending as much as this on it, which I see as a positive!) I get £15 cash in hand from teaching piano each week. I try really hard not to lift out any extra cash from my current account for any occasional spends where i need cash such as nights out/sweets from the shop etc. So the money I have in my current account after my credit card is paid, generally doesn't go down anymore...so I am going to include it in my signature!
Unfortunately I am getting my hair cut tonight, spray tan and up do next week for this wedding I'm going to...but it makes me feel good to I don't care! And I don't often treat myself!! Hair will go on credit card...hoping to have enough cash for spray tan as this weekend shouldn't be too spend heavy (so hopefully no lifting from the current account!) That's enough rambling from me for today!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

Hello!
Feeling so tired today following back to work after the bank holiday weekend zzzz Have been spending a bit of money on a few things...clothes/undewear etc stuff I should at least get a bit of wear out of. Also trying to get ready for this wedding at the weekend which is going to be expensive, but should also be enjoyable!
Have been selling a few things on Eb*y and Am*zon! Forgot what the buzz is like selling some old tat for cash! So far have sold an unwanted tube of hand cream, unwanted fake eyelashes and a cookbook that was an unwanted wedding present! Only really adds up t about 10 quid but better than than sitting around the house gathering dust! Also have a box of stuff to get off to music magpy...should get me a few more quid. Gonna get another wee look around and see if there is anything else I can find to sell!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

Hello everyone.
So I've been out of action for a week or so having had a car accident. An emergency fire car drove through a red light into the side of me and has written off my car! Have been off work for a week totally traumatised!! It puts the wish to money save into perspective as I could have died and then what use would my money be?!! We are waiting to hear what our settlement will be from the insurance company and are hoping we won't lose out too much as the car was 2010 and only purchased by us in January this year. We have been looking online and prices are much the same, if not slightly better than when we bought on a similar car so we have our fingers crossed for a good deal!
Savings are going well tho despite this blip. Total funds are sitting at £7167.15 with most of this month's bills covered so I am hoping to end the month with at least £6500 in proper savings. OH has received his annual bonus and has informed me he now has £8000 in his ISA. So we are well on the way to our target of £25,000 that we would like to have saved before searching for a house. Would be great to have saved £6000 more myself by the end of the year...but would have to do a good bit more e*ay selling to acheive that!! 4/5 grand might be more realistic!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
