Regards,
Its 2 different things, the kitchen is for B&Q to deal with, the finance is nothing to do with B&Q. Withold the payment at your peril but feel free to try it though. If you have problems with the kitchen then contact 1 of the suits at HO, write to them.
Ok maybe I was wrong and the 2 could be linked as described below.0 -
Sorry guys think the finance have a little clout as effectively under the law with the vendor sale of goods etcIt pays to challenge0

Pay your finance as and when due. Don't mess with your credit file.
If you aren't happy with the goods bought, and B&Q aren't resolving things to your satisfaction, raise a Section 75 claim with the finance company (assuming the loan is directly linked to the kitchen purchase).Sorry guys think the finance have a little clout as effectively under the law with the vendor sale of goods etc0 -
B&Q arrange their finance through Hitachi Capital (just finished paying mine off at 0%) but you'd have to read the terms and conditions of the loan agreement which you will have signed when you bought the kitchen. If there's nothing in there about quality of goods, I wouldn't try withholding payments as they are a separate entity from both B&Q and the kitchen. It is not the same as financing a car whereby the finance is directly linked to the car.Could HAVE. Should HAVE. Would HAVE. Not OF.0

Withholding payment is not a good option under any circumstance but trying a section 75 claim through the lender if struggling with the supplier gives another option to have a go at.0 -
Look up the DSG laptop court case thread to see what happens if you don't pay the finance, if he loses this last appeal he will be bankrupt over a £1k finance deal.0
