Miele G5220 dishwasher bargain

I've been looking for a new dishwasher since Xmas and had my eye on a Miele but was put off by the high price.
Last week I found this on Miele's own website http://www.miele.co.uk/dishwashers/g5220-sc-34/ and at £549 is the cheapest you can get anywhere! Most retailers are selling it at between £700-£650.
It's in the same price bracket now as a top-end Bosch and loads better in build quality.

Plus it says you get a free 10 year warranty.
I have had my Miele Dishwasher for over 20 years now and still looks brand new.0 -
I'd be more inclined to get the newer G4210. JL have it for £451 plus you also get £50 cashback from Miele making it £401Hmmmmmmm0

We bought ours from Hughes Direct, for just a few quid less (Literally) and Quidco. We then claimed the cashback too, which made it just as cheap as things like the Bosch which would have been my second choice brand.

Can't add to the purchases, but just to say that we had a Meile dishwasher for about 3 years. It was our first and we had to sell it as we went integrated. We bought the Which best buy last year, which was a 3A rated Beko, which i had previously not rated as a quality manufacturer. However, all the reviews and Which said it was the best.
After about 8 months use, and in my opinion for cleaning ability, the Meile knocks spots off the Beko. And i mean not even close. If we bought again now, we'd go Miele. Based on what we've seen, Beko was a false economy - and that's from someone who loves his bargains. It probably does cost less per wash to run, but if you need to wash 10% of your load again (and sometimes again), it starts to lose any advantage.0 -
Seems to be just a 2 year warranty with this - I'd have expected better than that from Miele, particularly in the light of the very high repair costs if there's a problem after two years - and it does happen.0

I went ahead and bought it. Been using it for a couple of days now. It's really good.
The cheaper model that someone recommended (£450???) doesn't have all the functions that this one has, so I personally think it's worth the extra.
Other machines have cheap plastic interiors, not worth buying imo. Believe me, I've checked them all out!0 -
I have the G4210, got it just before Christmas for £360 (£450 less £50 cashback and £40 discount code with Co-op).
The build quality and standard of machine are the same, just more functions on the G5220 which we don't need.
I like the fuss free look of it, some of the machines looked very complicated with too many buttons and knobs!!0 -
