  • Bah I'm so :mad:

    I posted on a couple of local selling pages that have loads of members to see if anyone had found Jessie and handed her in anywhere. Got a reply saying that someone had seen her tucked in the railings at a set of traffic lights so I jumped on the bike to go and see if she was still there, but no sign :( The thing is if I hadn't been such a smart !!!! and crossed at the lights rather than cycling round the roundabout I would probably have got her as it wasn't long after this person said they seen it :mad: Gutted!

    Maybe they saw Jessie and then read your post. They went back to get it and are going to message you to say they have got it for you? Ok think positive. If I had read your post this is what I would have done.

    For those of you that don't know Cookies story, she turned up at my ankles meowing I think it was 2 1/2 years ago now when I got out of my car on the verge of a very busy main road were live. She looked rather lost, so rather than risk her being ran over, I took her inside and made posters to put along the road and in the local shops. I posted her as found on lost pet sites and fb groups, and took her to the RSPCA who said she had no chip and wasn't reported as missing, but recorded her as found on their books. I had no response, so we adopted her as our own. Unfortunately due both to the main road, and the fact she does seem a bit dumb for a cat, she stays inside, but I think she's happy even though she never looks it. :rotfl:
    She was about 10 months according to vet. She's never really been a lap cat since she found us.... We often wonder if she had a rough life in her early days from some of her behavior, and was just dumped on the main road.
    Never mind, she's here now and we love her. :D

    We call them walk by cats and we have had several.

    Treacle is our newest - almost certainly dumped possible because of his intermittent skin problem and possibly abused when a baby - he runs scared from Oh or drapes himself all over :D
    He is obsessed with human hands - desperate to have his head muzzled.
    Also he will eat odd things - like crisps - so goodness knows what sort of home he came from
    Despite his oddities everyone adores him :)

    Bubbs you don't know what a good idea that is. :T

    But not sure how to make the flower pots. Suggestions on a post card please. :D

    Can you sew, a quick running stitch on a sewing machine? Piece of orange/ terracotta coloured material ( charity shop curtain?)sew a running stitch along the material, 4 inches from the top. Thread some pipe insulation with curtain wire threaded in the middle of the pipe laggin into the hem you have just made. Bend around your waist. Let material hang down and make a small hem at bottom, thread curtain wire through and bend in slightly smaller circle to create base of pot.

    Add shoulder straps.

    Ok so much easier to make than it sounds, just sounds like nonsense when I read it back :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Sorry I'm not a writer, I'm better at making things than explaining things!

    Or make a sandwich board in flower pot shape. Long piece of cardboard with hole cut in middle for head. Put head in and fold down at front and fold down at back??

    Or 2 flower pot cut out card shapes attached to each other by rope from rim to rim. Put rope over shoulders?

    Oh I give in!:rotfl::rotfl: I just can't explain sorry
