Evening, no damage to our property yet but neighbours have lost 6 fence pannels, Hope all stay safe.
Would someone please give me a sure fire way of earning a KFC voucher, please. My 96th try failed! I have tried closing my eyes, looking down, even tried holding my phone with a wide eyed selfi held in front of the web cam to no avail! Not a pretty site.:eek:

Hearing all this wind has reminded me of another story of BT incompetence. An up-market estate we were doing some work at had had a tree come down across a 50 pair phone line. It had not broken any of the wires, no-one lost their phone line but it was low enough that the dustbin lorry could not get through. Anyway, two or three weeks after it had been reported one of the residents got impatient and reported it as dangerous one afternoon. At 10 o'clock that night an Openreach van appeared, everyone thought he would deal with the tree. Instead he took a big pair of loppers and cut the cable, thereby cutting off 50 phone lines, setting off loads of alarms and causing fire engines and police cars to appear.
