Leftover, tasteless, 3 bird roast

I cooked a 3 bird roast that I bought heavily reduced on Boxing Day. Hate to say but it was totally tasteless. I have just got the leftover half out of the freezer and need some suggestions what I can do with it. I don't want to throw it away, I hate waste.
Any ideas? :D

I think I would slice it and re-heat it in gravy so that the flavour seeps in.

  • I'd defrost the bird and then marinade it overnight in a curry paste or a curry spices/yoghurt mix depending on your tastes and then make it into some sort of curry. Then it would be hidden and would (hopefully) taste like spices rather than blandness!!

Loads of pickles and spicy wedges and then you won't notice that the meat is bland.

Fajitas would be good, lots of salsa and salad stuff to bulk it out and a couple of minutes under the grill once wrapped to crisp up the tortillas :)
  • Give it to the dog.

I'd probably use it up in a curry. Otherwise... cottage pie, chilli, meat pie, potted meat.

  • Use a Coronation chicken recipe for the sauce and dice it up to go in, it will make a lovely meal or sandwich filling, or be nice as a jacket potato topping too.
  • Make a curry
