Just return to them for a refund, or even refuse to accept the parcel when it arrives.
Debenhams are rubbish on delivery, stock control & customer services. They do manage to action refunds fairly quickly though.

In their defence I ordered a dress from them recently on a Monday afternoon needing it by the Friday afternoon as we were going away on holiday and I wanted it to take with me. I phoned them on the wednesday afternoon and explained the situation and they had it with me the following morning. Woman I spoke to was helpful and delivery was fantastic so they're not always bad.
OP - as has already been suggested don't accept the parcel. I've previously done this with Debenhams and the refund has been actioned fine. Lots less hassle than accepting the delivery and then having to either take it into store and return or have the hassle of getting it collected. Hope it arrives for you0 -

I agree - they are not great at delivery, regardless of the service levels in their T&Cs. They handle refunds as good as you'd like to expect but, as another poster said, their customer services attitudes need some attention. It put me off ever ordering from them again. I will not revisit a shop or site if the CS does not live up to my (sadly) very high expectations. You can take that to the bank (but don't get me started on THEM)!!

I had the feeling something was wrong and I was right the table is out of stock, they inform me 10 days after taking my order and of course now there are none anywhere. They are willing to take back the rest of the order but of course now I have lost out on the deal. I could have got it in store at the time and picked it up but thought delivery via the internet would be easier. They do not deal with complaints on the phone you need to write. They will get a letter letting them know my opinion when I get a spare half hour to write!!!!0
