wedding planners/diaries

Options
Hi there,
Can anybody recommend a good wedding planner book/diary? After something that has good content/sections? My memory is terrible so would come in handy to flick through now and again and make notes and see what hasn't been done as the day gets closer! (April 2015)

Many thanks

  • I was bought the K Two Wedding Planner as a gift from my mum for Christmas and so far, combined with my Filofax, it's been invaluable! :) Best of luck with all the planning.
Due to get married in 2014. :grinheart
Saving for a dream honeymoon! :)

    Total Wedding Budget: £8899.00
    Total spent to date: £5857.00
  • I have a 'Bright Stuff' one which my Mother bought me, it is lovely and conveniently handbag sized. It has sections to help you plan stage by stage, areas for you to pop bits in and also stick bits in and it also has little funny wordy bits to make it not only invaluable in the planning process but quite funny along the way. I love it! x

  • I have a 'bright stuff' one too... I adore their stuff LOL. I must confess I've not actually used it though, I keep meaning to fill it in...

I actually wish I had waited with some stuff (and thought about buying a new one which isn't very MSE!) because things change, plans have altered etc... Like for us having secured one wedding reception venue and then it falling through but I have completed all that section in my book. Do I scribble it out now or tippex it or something?!

I've decided I'm going to fill in the rest of it on my 'rest' day which is the Wednesday before the wedding. To save myself from feeling really wound up I have booked for me and my Mum to go to a local spa for a half day with a 3 course lunch and told her that for that one day we won't DO anything weddingy (I don't think we could avoid the conversation) and I will fill it in that night with a nice bottle of wine. I also have the 'Our Wedding' book and the 'Our Lovely Guests' book which match x

  • I got the 'our lovely guests' guest book in my stocking at Christmas (Father Christmas knows me too well!). I actually have two copies of the planner, neither of which are filled in (one was an engagement gift from my mother, and the other one I'd bought a few months previously for my fianc! when he'd failed to propose in the month he told me he would... it was a hint... and a pretty heavy one)

I'm planning to fill it in nicely closer to the time, I was thinking about maybe having it out at the wedding for people to flick through and see the planning process? IDK if that is strange though.

I would be scared if I did that and it got misplaced or got damaged during the day. Think I will buy another one and redo it completely. :D I love the Bright Stuff!!

Thanks everyone. Will check out the bright stuff planner. Where can I get these from? I also think it'd a good memento to have and look back on.
We already have a scrap book which had a load of handouts and leaflets from companies from wedding fayres etc which also has rough notes. Now it's time to narrow down those companies and jot them into a handy carry round planner.
    Thanks all
  • I wanted to buy a planner but struggled so in the end download some free apps, which have actually been great! My favourites are guide for brides planner and wedhappy. wed happy actually sends me little reminders when I need to be doing certain things, but I prefer the other one personally. Both are fully customisable and you tick off tasks that you've already completed and add whatever ones of your own that aren't there. I also have a binder which I shove all my weddings stuff into so I can easily find things. At some point I might make something a bit nicer that I can look back at, but atm it gets the job done!

Is it "bright stuff" or "bright side"

I think technically the company is called 'Really Good Co.' and the range is called 'The Bright Side'

But that's a bit of a mouthful LOL
