Need loan but unemployed and have depression

I am writing this on behalf of my sister, she is in need of a loan of between £15,000 and £ 18,000, problem being she if not working at the moment and is suffering from depression so not really in a placeto work at the moment. Any suggestions of how and where to apply without being victimised or ripped off?

She's unemployed and no prospect of getting a job - how does she expect to pay back a £15k loan?

It's not going to happen and anyone who says they can get her a loan is either going to rip her off with broker fees or just outright scam her.

if shes not working, how does she expect to be able to pay back an 18k loan ?

no one will give her a loan while she is unemployed, especially for that amount

In those circumstances, I would think that obtaining a loan - even if she could - would cause far more problems than it would solve.

Can you give us more info in why she needs it so we can see if we can help with an alternative solution.

  • Why does she need such a loan?

Ripped off!! I'm sure the lender would also take that approach while making a decision on lending someone with no job 15k.

  • She is in a relationship so between them they will be able to sort repayments. It is to purchase a caravan to live in, she is pretty desperate and her partner is having major issues with the person she shares a house with.
  • No one is going to lend her that money. Full stop.

Either her partner needs to borrow it, if the partner has a job, or some other housing solution needs to be found.

Then her partner is going to have to borrow the money.

Why can't they just rent somewhere, why does it have to be a caravan purchase?

  • Her partner has a mortgage but is in a complicated situation with the person she has the house with. Her partner does work. Not even get loan with a guarantor?

I really hope that she would not even attempt to drag a guarantor into the messy situation, if the partner is still financially tied to another person.
