Advice on Catalogue Accounts?

I wouldnt mind knowing about this one, as one of my debts was with littlewoods, they badgered the hell out of me for nearly two years, even chasing me for 26p at the end as their customer service person hadn't added the interest when I rang up to pay on my card. I rang up and paid 26p on my debit card and asked them to close the account, then low and behold two weeks later I get a new statement with a zero balance and a credit limit of £400!!!!!

I dont really want to line their pockets, but as I've been rejected for the high interest credit cards, this would be my only way to help my credit rating at present.

Any ideas anyone??

Any credit that you have that you pay regulary and on time will build up your credit rating but there are other aspects such as your name being on the enrolled register
