hi , I have a redundancy and sickness policy that I took out jointly with my husband in 2002, it did cross my mind that this might fall under a mis sold ppi, but I have never chased this up.

is anyone able to advise, at the time both me and hubby were n f/t work , and paid for sickness by employers, since then I have become redundant two times , the first time I walked straight into another job and never claimed, I have become redundant again, and after reading all the claim info, am not sure if I should claim, or was I missold tis insurance

My mortgage is with Halifax and all was arranged with a small independent agency who are no longer in business

You describe yourselves as being in need of the insurance by saying you were in full time employment. Nothing wrong there.

Being made redundant and (fortunately) not having to claim on the insurance is not a reason to expect a refund. Similarly, you cannot get a refund on life insurance because you haven't died!

If you are currently redundant, I think your best bet is to claim on the insurance rather than complain about it-but don't expect it to payout until you are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance.
