Apcoa - Airport parking charged

Options
Received ANPR camera fine £100, £50 if paid within 14 days, at a Midlands Airport
3 photos show vehicle there for only 2 minutes. No evidence as to the car being parked and unoccupied or whether person driving was still in the car and just stopped.
Have read some of the posts decision whether to fight it or not??

PCN Notice to keeper received more than 14 days after ledged incident, which may make fine invalid, although Apoca obviously obtained keepers details from DVLA within the 14 days

Unsure if land is private or not, which appears to impact on the main defence of Schedule 4 of the POFA??
no POPLA code on PCN etc etc.

Need to decide how to proceed very shortly
Any thoughts

they may not be bothering with POFA 2012 so they revert to chasing the driver, not the keeper

the charge is still valid though, even if pofa isnt (its a charge , not a fine)

plenty of info on here if you search using words like apcoa or birmingham or luton or airport , but start here first https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

I don't think you meant quite that. We all know the charges aren't valid, though it doesn't stop the PPCs thinking they are, and forcing the keeper to jump through a load of unnecessary hoops to make it go away.

mmm , valid , live , not to be ignored, its so hard choosing the right words on here

my point being that it isnt ignored just because POFA may not apply, its still an invoice to be dealt with in a timely manner whereas I got the impression that the OP thought it could be ignored because it may not have met POFA , which we all know isnt true

we are not all legally trained in the use of legal words as opposed to words in the "common language" or "common use" nor did we all get honours degrees in the english language either

think of it as my use of the word "valid", where its a live invoice" but I dont wish to call it that but seemingly now have to justify my use of the word "valid" , this also happened recently when I used the word "mitigation" as well , well tough if you dont like my choice of words or meanings as I will decide if what I am trying to convey is correct from a laymans point of view

maybe somebody can add to the NEWBIES thread with a list of legal words we should all be using ?

in the meantime its getting to the point where its pointless replying to posts on here due to people nitpicking about who holds a V5C and car insurance or the use of the words valid and mitigation and suchlike !! :( (the "common" word for this is "trolling")

when I posted last year about the dealings I was having with PE and EXCEL guys_dad asked that I stick around and help others, but all I seem to see are replies being pulled apart like above instead of people replying to the OP , so it hardly seems worth it

Later PCNs are not invalid - the usual advice applied to appeal, then win at POPLA like this:

APCOA are easy to beat, particularly at Airports.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
