Currys PC World Query

Hi there
I bought a duff tumble dryer from this company last weekend. It never worked. Went through the route of calling Currys, they sent an engineer who pronounced it DOA, and Currys helpline gave me an uplift number. They said I needed to contact the store where I bought it either to exchange it there, or arrange for a new one to be delivered.
Trouble is I'm willing to take the tumble dryer beack to the shop, but want to phone them first to check they have one in and keep it for me so I can swap it for mine. However, it seems impossible to telephone the store. The number on the receipt is the central 0844 currys helpline number. Checked online and the numbers 0113 244 4377 and 0113 3942910 do not work.
Currys service centre themselves are also perplexed as they cannot find a number for the store that works either. Is this a joke? A company that can't contact it's own store? They are saying I should go there on spec and hope they have a new one in stock.
Anyone help? Its the Currys PC World at Crown Point in Leeds LS10.
