Winning is so random ?

January was my best month ever for wins in seven years of comping with an average of a prize a day.. the best being an inclusive skiing holiday for 4 :j .. lots of smaller prizes but a totally amazing month.

What have I won in February ?

Zilch until yesterday when I won a small kiddies water bottle on Twitter.

February is shaping up to be my worst month ever.

Not complaining as I'm over the moon with January wins.. just puzzled.

Doing the same as I always do and entering the same amount of comps... do you all find it can happen this way?

Jan and so far Feb have been the worse months ever for me,i didn't win anything in Jan and nothing so far in Feb,that's the first time in 4 years i have gone a whole month without winning.

I had very similar, after a quiet end to last year I had a fab Jan, won a spa break, 3 or 4 other prizes over the £100 mark and lots of small prizes.

So far this month it's just been a NT pass and a bottle of dish wash.

I enter a similar amount all the time but I find this happens a lot, every now and again I hit a really lucky spell with lots of good wins. Just waiting for the next one now:)

Well so far Ive won one item, the levi roots sauce and that didnt arrive. I probably dont do as many comps as some people on here, in fact I know I dont, but Ive not been lucky.

Away from the boards, Ive won quite a lot of things over the years, all football related, a season ticket to watch my local team, that was a comp in a national newspaper, a jacket, again from that team, calendar, two nights at supporters fundraisers to meet the team, plus dinner (obviously I must have been the only person entering).

Id be happy with any win, no matter how small it was.

I tend to find it will always be either feast or famine.


I've had a good few months with next to no wins - the odd box of cereal or small toiletries but nothing much to write home about. Then again I've had times where I've won 2 major prizes within 2 days of each other.


It is just totally random I guess.

Reading this thread has been quite encouraging to a noobie! Was just wondering: when you win, do the companies normally phone you? I have a bit of a random phobia where I don't like answering the phone to unknown numbers; is this going to really scupper my chances of 'winning', does anyone reckon?

Quieter Feb for me too but look at the bright side guys - this month is just 28 days long! So hopefully March will be luckier!

Companies all have different methods of contacting you.
Some will phone - and when they do, sometimes a number will come up, sometimes it'll register as Private, Witheld, or Unknown.
Others will contact you by email (most, I've found).
Other times - my favourites! - a prize will just arrive without you ever having been notified about it!

Its still early in February guys ! Comping is all random some you win some you loose. Lets hope we all have lots of wins this month
