Well, what a to-do!

Options
On Monday I received an e-mail (to the address I use for comping) from a delivery company to say my parcel was due to be delivered the following day.

What parcel?! I'd had no notification of a win from anywhere. How exciting!

The only problem is that I work M-F and wouldn't be home to accept delivery. I told my partner and he informed me he was off work on Wednesday and would be home almost all day, so I rearranged delivery for Wednesday. The parcel arrived during the only hour-long timeslot my partner had to go out for a dental appointment.
I rearranged it for the following day, to go to a neighbour who kindly offers to take parcels for us if we're not in. I received an e-mail that afternoon to say there'd been no one available to sign for the parcel.

I tried to rearrange again to have it sent to my parents' house. No such luck, they wouldn't deliver outside my postcode. They didn't deem anywhere on my property a 'safe place' to leave the parcel and wouldn't deliver on a Saturday. After much banging my head against the wall I rang the depot, and I must have sounded stressed out because a very nice lady agreed to pull some strings and have it delivered to my parents the following day.

So what was this parcel? Was it an iPad or a PS4? Nope. It was a Christmas stocking of dog treats! Must have been from an advent I'd forgotten about.
:rotfl:
I can laugh about it now, but goodness me, I hope my dog enjoys them after all that fuss!
