now includes Morrisons and ALDI in comparison shops.

I would also suggest when doing an online shop be prepared to split it. I use mysupermarket but also have another window open for another super market. By splitting the shop you can get the best of both stores and even a second delivery charge will be small compared to the extra savings you make. I will also stagger the second delivery so it can also act as a top up shop.

If you regularly eat the same ready meals then look to see how you can make them from scratch yourself. If you are eating a lot of bread then opt for bread making instead. Target the areas that you are spending most on. If takeaways feature look to see how you can make them yourself. Home made pizza is easy and very cheap. You can save a fortune on pizza deliveries.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

Shoei - you identify some waste issues with salad and veg. If you see some salad or veg starting to look past its best, hoick it out of the fridge, chop it up and put it in a plastic box in the freezer. Keep adding chopped surplus veg to the box as and when you have it. When you get time, get the box out and use the contents to make a vat of home made veggie soup - very nice for lunches, and very economical!
