Had a NSD today
I was also checking this months finances to make sure the bills have come out when I realised I had enough money to pay the whole of the rest of the Argoose card instead of just the £50 I was going to pay off, so that card has now gone:j
I had meals from what I already had in the house, I spent the day at home and did lots of knitting
I have forgotten to say over the last posts that I have also been using up nearly empty bottles of bath products over the last couple of weeks, we are terribly wasteful because we never end up using all the stuff in the bottles, I have just used up the contents of a bottle of shampoo that would have been thrown away and it lasted me nearly a week:eek: and I wash my hair every day
I have just got some soup out the feezer for tomorrows lunch at work and I think thats me:)Always have too much month for my money
CC Balance = £4,371.87
Argos Card = £255.06 - £132.00= £123.06 = PAID0 -
Evening all,
Foxgloves, thank you so much for adding your energy saving tips to this weekends thread, really enjoyed reading and will certainly be adopting ALL of your ideas moving forward. Well all that is except for the bath water, no bath unfortunately, just a shower, really miss soaking in a bath..
Loved your then and now story too, related to that very much, with a sense of pride. :T
Not feeling 100% so not very much happening for me DFW'wise.
Today I needed to get out of the house, so did the boys, so we took them to see a kids AM movie at the local cinema, total cost for 2 adults and 2 children £7.00, really enjoyed it, I haven't been to the cinema in months and it was the first time for us taking the boys and they both sat through the entire film. Cannot believe it is £9+ for an adult to see a movie these days. I think I will stick with the kiddie films from now on.
Listed a few more bits on ebay and have picked up some additional watchers which is great.
My eldest needs to move from toddler bed to a single so scoured the local sites for a second hand frame, nothing around that I liked. Know I shouldn't be fussy but with things like that and where it concerns my kids I kind of am. Anyway, trawled the internet looking for a cheapish pine framed bed with mattress, OMG how much are beds!!!!! anyway, I was getting a bit desperate thinking about how much it was going to cost, when my hubby decided he was going to make a bed for him. He's a joiner and is really great with his hands, over the years hes made some fantastic pieces for our home which are all still standing and have that extra bit of sentimentality. So hes taken the design of the pine bed frame I'd seen online and is going to reproduce it for me. I will post a picture once hes done. Hopefully it will work out. :rotfl:
Dinner and lunch from stores, took cinema goodies from the house and filled the boys drinks bottles with juice before leaving.
Washing airing on the clothes horse and radiators.
Managed to get an hour and a half work/study done before logging on here so a productive day for me.
Enjoy whats left of the weekend all.New Year New Motto - I will be debt free
