                    Hi all,
Me and my partner are applying for a 95% LTV HelptoBuy2 Mortgage with HSBC. Our application has gone to the underwriters, who have come back with a couple of questions about a First Direct I have (for the switch reward and their savings/mortgage options).
However they have also stipulated that there is a requirement for both of us to have you primary banking with HSBC. Neither of us have an issue with this, but hadn't heard of being asked to switch current accounts before. Is this sort of thing normal?

Usually lenders will offer better products as a means of a loyalty incentive to take your mortgage with them, although HSBC don't use intermediaries so I'm not sure any brokers could advise you to be honest.0

HSBC certainly operate this policy on a number of their mortgage products.0
