Giveaway started 11 Feb 2014

wtd_icon.gifWhat's this about?
We've blagged 25 copies of Arabic For Dummies for MoneySavers who want to learn a new language. The RRP is £16.99, but you can buy it for £11.75 from Amazon.

wtd_icon.gif What to do
If you're interested, just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:

"lugha wāhidah lā takfī"
("one language is never enough")

To do this you need to be registered for the Forum (if you're not, when you click 'reply', you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course).

APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check your private messages NEXT week (Fri 21 Feb).

Remember, you must be quick as 75 names are being picked and there are only 25 books. This is because, sadly, not everyone gets in touch, so doing it this way helps to speed up the administration process.

Also, please DON'T email in, as your name won't be counted. Nor include your contact details in this thread as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum so your post may be deleted.

This giveaway appears in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips) and will close at 10am on Mon 17 Feb, so please get your posts in before then.

The giveaway has a strict one entry per household policy and entries can be deemed ineligible without any explanation or notification.

The book's blurb...

"The fast and easy way to learn to speak Modern Standard Arabic Regarded as one of the most difficult languages to learn for native English speakers, Arabic is gaining global prominence and importance. Recent world events have brought more and more English speakers into contact with Arabic–speaking populations, and governments and businesses are increasingly aware of the importance of basic Arabic language skills.

The book also includes an Arabic–English dictionary, verb tables, and an audio CD with dialogues from the book to help you perfect your pronunciation Written by a native Arabic speaker who helped start a year–round Arabic department at Middlebury College, Arabic For Dummies is just what you need to start making yourself understood in Arabic. CD–ROM and other supplementary materials are not included as part of the e–book file, but are available for download after purchase."

wtd_icon.gifHow will the winners be chosen?

75 people will be picked at random (we've a special little computer program to do it) and a private message will be sent to each of their winning usernames requesting their USERNAME, FULL NAME and ADDRESS details (there'll be an email address to send this information to, we don't want it done via private messages).

The FIRST 25 people to get back to me will win a copy of the book.

wtd_icon.gifWhen will I get the book?
The publisher providing these books will send them out directly, though to aid administration, this won't happen until all 25 winners have provided their names and addresses, so it may take several weeks between the giveaway's end and actual receipt.
