I recently purchased a LCD TV from a high street outlet.
After I made the purchase I looked on the internet regarding other suppliers prices of the same LCD and I couldn't believe the Comet website that quote 2 prices.
You see you did it the wrong way round you should have
a) Looked on the internet for the cheapest price
b) bought it at the cheapest price
Maybe next time you will look online first :j
BTW Comet will pricematch the internet site, i suggest you go back to the store and get them to pricematch you have 7 days to do this.

This works, but you may need to be insistent. I just had a situation where the store told me I wouldn't find something cheaper on their website, but I discovered when I got home that it was much cheaper online.
Initially they pulled the whole "internet store is different from bricks and mortar store" deal and said that they didn't price match to the web store, then after about 10 minutes they offered a partial refund as store credit, then after about another 10 minutes they eventually agreed to a cash refund down to the web price.
The only way this is potentially different than the problem above is that the guy in the store did actually tell me that i didn't need to look anywhere else because I wouldn't get it cheaper.
Start with Comet's general customer service number, they will then put you through to the manager of the store you bought from.
I guess i'm a little annoyed that i've had to push so much to get them to do the right thing, but it's to their credit that they eventually did. I can imagine other companies not being so morally honest.0 -
Your best bet is a comet with competition nearby, ask them to price match their internet price - when I did this the salesman checked with the manager and offered a gift card with the difference on immediately and I accepted as I needed a memory card too. This was the second store I tried, the first weren't interested and the second one was next door to a currys.0
