Tesco clubcard vouchers expiring end of Feb

Options
I checked yesterday and found I've got some Clubcard vouchers which expire at the end of this month. Previously I've had emails from Tesco warning me about this, usually a couple of months beforehand, but NOT ALWAYS. I lost out on £15 of vouchers last year and even though I wrote a very nice letter to them, they refused to recredit my account with the value.

I haven't had any warning about these vouchers expiring, so was in danger of losing another £8.50's worth.

I may not be alone in not having received an email this time, please check your voucher expiry dates.

Tesco sometimes send out 'reprint' vouchers (especially to those who don't have an on-line account) - where there are old unused vouchers.
And as you say - sometimes - emails go out as a reminder. Yet, if you have on-line access to your vouchers it something you can check quite easily!?

Vouchers, have a life of two years to use, once past that date there have 'died', and Clubcard nor anyone else at Tesco have access to them.

So, yes a timely reminder for anyone with vouchers due to expire 28th Feb 2014 - to use them.

Sorry to hijack the thread, thought this might be the best place to ask this:

Do staff at Tesco need to see your clubcard if you're going to spend your vouchers?

My housemate is away on holiday and has left vouchers which expire before he's back - but he hasn't left a clubcard.
  • my girlfriend has suggested that she has to spend the exact voucher at tesco (it's worth £4.50) - is this the case or is she being silly?

    cheers,

NEVER 'spend' your vouchers in Tesco stores.

Save/redeem them for Rewards, up to 4 x face value on all sorts of things:
Days Out, subscriptions, travel, restaurants, theatre, sporting events, jewellery, holidays.

Even a £4.50 voucher means £18 towards food at Caf! Rouge, for example.
    .

Thanks, although because of the difficulty of splitting between two it's easier for us just to spend the points. I appreciate your help though. Anyone able to answer the question - do Tescos ask to see the CC if your going to use the voucher?

Staff are perfectly entitled to ensure the correct CC is used with any vouchers. Indeed, with the 'problems' of CC fraud about all the more reason to. Besides how are Tesco to know that you have permission to use them!?
He can ring CC even in early March to get the points back.

That's just an 'opinion' others may be perfectly happy to use them in-store.
I for one have no wish to go to Caf! Rouge, have no need for jewellery, not into 'sporting events', the 'days out' are for kids - even checked the magazines - no.
