As with cars it's a case of shopping around! Savings probably even more worthwhile. May be worth using a broker. Be VERY clear about who is authorised to drive it: check licences and record the fact that you have done so.

Also worth looking at https://www.honestjohn.co.uk for anything motoring.

definatley use a broker. It is easier than dealing direct and they can often tailor polices to suit your needs .Be careful if you buy a van with more than 2 or 3 seats though many companies wont touch em.As I 've just found out.Policey went up 300 quid when I told em my new van seated 5.But by using a broker I managed to transfer nc bonus to new vehicle and at same time keep cover running on existing one.No direct companies could offer that service.

Have you tried Coversure? Our local one is based in Bognor Regis West Sussex they saved us hundreds of pounds on our comercial van insurance (we run a mobile valeting business) and saved us more from our old insurers by only insuring us for what we needed none of those costly just in case extras!

If you PM me Ill give you their details!

  • Hi, We have used Mastercover for some years now who are part of the Groupama insurance group. We have found them particualrly competitve as we are a Removals firm and therefore carry other peoples goods. We have had a few prblems with some insurers in the past (Swinton and Anglia) as they set up a policy for us and then withdrew it after realising we do not carry goods owned by us. I don't know of any Removal firms that do!!

    Commercial Vehicle direct 0870 751 8185 quote ref 0647 & I'll get a £10 voucher, if you take out a policy.

I'll donate it to a local animal charity, if you do!!

I would start with a comparison site like https://www.quotezone.co.uk . Then try calling the companies who quote cheapest to see if they can compete with each other ;)

All you seem to be doing is digging up old threads and promoting the same company most of the time.It looks like a SPAMMING exercise to me.
